Heading to Manhattan. Anyone have a favorite restaurant in the City for dinner? (Any type of food.)
Jack B. replied:
PDT in the East village is awesome. At the face it's a grubby hotdog place with an arcade game and an old phone booth. If you've made a reservation, you say the password in the old phone and the back opens up to a small speakeasy that serves sweet cocktails and Gournet hotdogs http://pdtnyc.com/
Going to New York!
Does anyone have any exciting, fun, wacky, arty, foodie places to recommend?
Please,X

PDT (please don't tell) had the ultimate "secret entrance”you’ll need a reservation. Once secured, walk into the delicious but otherwise unremarkable hot dog shop, Crif Dogs, on St. Marks Place. Enter the vintage phone booth and pick up the receiver. The wall within the booth will open, revealing the window-less cocktail bar within. This snug, speakeasy-inspired bar serves some of the city’s best cocktails, Sober up with a hot dog on the way out. 113 St. Marks Pl., 212-614-0386, pdtnyc.com
Loving NYC. Looking for a 'date night' place sunday. Can anyone recommend a restaurant? You know I love a gimmick. One for you girls?
Charli G. replied:
Did somebody say WEIRD GIMMICKY PLACES?! Hello! Tezza, Scarlett Russell and Abby Morgan will have loads more. But I would recommend Please Don't Tell - it's disguised as a hot dog spot and you enter through a phone box. http://pdtnyc.com/
