Do you guys have any recommendations for towns with smaller homes? We are looking for a Sunday-Sunday rental. I've seen that there are still quite a few places open for that week. Thank you!

We’ve never been to the Outer Banks and I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Just got back from this year’s trip, so not looking to go until sometime next year. TL, DR : Looking for a place to stay that is 1. Dog friendly 2. Walking distance to Outer Banks beaches 3. Reasonably priced Thanks in advance!

It's cheaper to stay on the sound side and just walk across 12 to the beach. Summer is high time, prices reflect that (even the few airbnbs/homestays that are there). If you can go in early September rates drop off a bit.

So if you want to be near restaurants and a lot of shopping centers, I'd suggest Nags Head
