The small business I belong to (psychologist group practice) just got a nice new website, but in doing that we were essentially "lost" by Google. The best course will be a combination of submitting your site to search engines and optimizing text, titles, etc. A tip for all of you business owners: the quickest way to the first page of Google and Bing is to register your business with Bing Places and Google Places. If you're registered, your business name and contact will be displayed at the top of the search results, ahead of other websites (along with a map pin-pointing your location.).
