  We had ours done by Shannon Eifert http://homeproroofingmi.com/ 810-986-6000 or 810-225-9080. Not sure of his experience on slate or historic homes though. He was slightly higher then our lower price (but lowest price guy wouldn't call back or give a written quote Shannon was very professional without giving the hard sell and his team was in and out in 2 days. The first day they stayed extra late, I think to make sure they would be done in 2 days. He has large list of houses in the area, that you can check out to see his work. (including ours now
