Our refrigerator stopped cooling on July 6th and we scheduled a technician from Mark’s Appliance. He showed up that evening and began to diagnose the problem. He wasn’t sure what the problem was (because they don’t have the diagnostic equipment), but suggested we replace the main control board due to the symptoms. He told me that if that didn’t work, we should try replacing the display control board. After looking for the part on his phone, he said that he couldn’t find it. He did find the display control board, but there were disclaimers about it not matching up perfectly. At the end of the visit, he told me he was going to do some research and get back with me the next day. By that afternoon, I had not heard from him, and ordered the part (that does exist from multiple vendors online) on Amazon and had it overnighted. The fridge was back up and running the next day. I assumed the paperwork and $50 service call check had been lost when I hadn’t heard from them two weeks later. The check was deposited yesterday, and I decided to follow up. I told Mark everything I had typed here, and he told me he was going to check into it. 36 hours later, I still haven’t heard back from him.
My appliance repairman has retired. Any recommendations....????
