  After several adventures in different environments, the hard drive of my MacBook Pro decided to end his life. Computer savi friends out there, any recommendation of a place in SF Bay Area where I can extract the data from the dead hard drive before I sent the computer to Apple to repair it? I had almost everything backed up but as we know, "almost" is a tricky word... An almost alive person is a dead person... Any thoughts?

  I second the Keane Mac Repair suggestion above. They were very good to me the one time I dropped in. My housemate has a favorite one over on Geary that's less of an establishment, but a nice guy who does honest work at a low price.
