Someone here before had given me a reference for a contractor who did a great job but the last time I called him he wasn't doing this full time and seemed to be busy finishing up school. I should note that I can do some stuff myself once I've diagnosed the problem, so I'm more interested in someone I can pay to do an inspection and then let me decide if I want them to do the work. I suspect I may need some freon added to my AC which is something I'll definitely have them do.

  Any reccs on a reliable, affordable HVAC specialist? I had someone a few years ago do some good work but I heard he was bought out by a bigger company. Can't honestly remember who it was. I had someone else do a full cleaning of my furnace but he charged an arm and a leg, even to come back for a less than half hour fix of something he didn't take care of the first time around. I'm not cheap. I understand the value of a good service, but I'm also not exactly dripping with money. I just need someone to look at my system and tune it up, with the possibility of doing a full cleaning / revamp if it is needed.
