Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
I grew up in Ohio and left to join the Marine Corp. I served four years and when I was honorably discharged went to school at Kent State. I owned a number of companies and have been hired as President to run even more. I've worked in many different industries, but I like real estate the best.
I moved to Palm Coast Florida three years ago and soon after joined Coldwell Banker
Describe a typical work day for you?
I get up every morning at 5AM and after a good workout I spend the rest of the day helping people with their real estate needs. I believe in continuous education and I'm always looking to improve. I hold the certification for Military Relocation Professional and Senior Real Estate Specialist. Due to the nature of my business it's not unusual to work on Saturday or Sunday.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
I believe if you have a passion for what you do it's not a job. I focus on my customers' needs and concerns. I've learned by doing this it guarantees all my real estate transactions are positive experiences for my customers. Helping a first-time home buyer, a retiree finds their dream home, or helping a person sell their home is a major source of inspiration.
How can a customer ensure that they receive the best possible service from you?
Communication. I initially ask a lot of questions to understand what outcome my customer desires. Everything from how they prefer to communicate to helping them understand the process we're going to follow to achieve the result they desire. I provide continuous feedback to my customers, so they always know what is happening. I live by the motto the customer has the only vote that counts.
What has been your most memorable experience on the job?
It runs the gamut from helping a first-time home buyer all the way to selling very high-end luxury properties to folks that have worked their entire life to be able to buy a dream home. Also knowing I provide a valuable service to people making the biggest financial decision of their lives is very rewarding.
