Please don't give your business to McCaskell Electric. We hired this man, Chic, to get our power hooked up. He told us it would cost $600, which he wanted in cash and we paid him. He also said we needed a temporary pole, which we paid him an additional $250 cash for. He built the pole but did not hook up the power. After some investigating, we found out we did not in fact need a temporary pole -we told Chic that and asked him again to hook up the power. A few days later, we came out to our place to find the temporary pole was gone- someone had taken it. We called Chic, and he said he had a friend pick it up, who was going to store it and try to resell it so we could get at least some of the money back we had paid. That was over a year ago. Our power was never hooked up, we never saw a dime of our money back, and no temporary pole either. We have called this man more times than I can count. He has on a few occasions answered- promises to come out and get the power hooked up- and either has never shown up, or calls us and says he's behind on another job and it will have to be the next day, etc. Now he refuses to answer or return our calls at all, he has taken $850 cash from us for nothing, and stole the temporary pole as well which we are assuming he has long since resold and kept the money. Please please please... Don't hire this man Chic. What he did is wrong and he has yet to account for it or make any attempt to rectify the situation. Our house remodel has been held up for over a year, we are that far behind, and now are out the money as well. We didn't have much money but we thought this man could be trusted. Obviously not, so please don't take the risk of losing everything as we did. We've learned the hard way that some businesses are not honorable or trustworthy, and this is the worst one we've had to date.
