Looking for recommendations for steam heat radiator repair Hello all,
I'm at my wit's end with my radiators. Ever since we've turned them on this winter they've been gurgling, experiencing steam hammer, and spitting water from the air valves. I've done everything I feel comfortable doing myself (checking the levels of the radiators, etc).
I started with the company that installed our boiler last year. They send a repairman out twice and made it worse both times (ie: initially problems were isolated to 1 radiator, now it's all 3 of them in the condo). Another repairman I reached out to who doesn't service my area suggested skimming the boiler or turning down the pressure, both things I'm not capable of doing myself. I just need someone who knows what they're doing to fix this, because I'm losing sleep at night from the noise.
Any licensed plumbing/heating recommendations you could give would be great. Located in the Roslindale area.

I recommend Pipelines (http://www.pipelinesinc.net) in Roslindale on Centre St. We’ve used them for decades to service our boilers, radiators, and water heaters. Woman-owned, responsive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about older heating systems.
