So, I would like to find somebody who can be honest with me and give me a quote for the work, without making me spend money on the work I do not need. Do any of my facebook friends do this kind of work, and can give me an honest quote? Otherwise, do any of my facebook friends know enough about this type of work to tell me what I really need before I get a contractor to give me a quote?

  This is the type of work my employer (Sparc) helps homeowners with. See if there's a community development corporation in your neighborhood. They may have funds to help. Our Construction Manager, Frank, is a storehouse of knowledge. Give him a call on Monday at 651-488-1039, ext. 4.
