  Animal Emergency Clinic of McLean County, LLC AEC is one of a growing number of veterinary hospitals devoted strictly to after-hours emergency and critical care for pets. AEC was conceptualized at an informal meeting of McLean County, Illinois veterinarians in February of 1995. We opened our doors in December of 1996 on Main Street in Normal, Illinois as a shareholder owned hospital with 21 veterinarian-owners. We moved our hospital to a larger and more accessible facility, our current location on Oakland Avenue in Bloomington, Illinois, in May of 2003. In September of 2008 we were purchased by a small group of local veterinarians and are now a privately owned hospital. As we have changed and expanded, we have upheld our mission to provide accessible, high quality, emergency medical, surgical, and intensive care to the pets and the pet owners of Central Illinois.
