  I often get messages from parents asking for help finding a pediatrician for their unvaccinated child. My advice is always along these lines: First, try to find a local parenting group that is likely to have some non-vaccinating or selective vaccinating families (for example, attachment parenting, holistic parenting, natural parenting groups) and ask for doctor recommendations on their email list or facebook page. Secondly, realize that family doctors tend to be a bit more open-minded than pediatricians - peds are pressured by the APA to vaccinate and vaccines comprise a large part of their income. Thirdly, turn to alternative primary care providers like naturopathic doctors and chiropractors who may not be covered by your insurance but are well worth their weight in gold (and some will offer sliding scale fees or payment plans if you mention your financial need).
