Our mission is to provide high quality surgical and dental care to your pet at affordable rates. We are able to achieve our mission by limiting the scope of our services to surgery and dental care only. We cut out office visit / consultation time and fees in order to put all of our efforts into treating your pet. We are a drop off, outpatient clinic. We cooperate with many great primary care veterinarians in all areas and will be happy to refer you for any follow up care, general health care, or medical needs.
Helping Hands is partnering with our community to provide surgical and dental care for all needy animals and now you are a part of that great effort. Five dollars of your invoice goes directly into an account set up to help needy animals who may require our care. We call this a “good citizen” fee. The money will be repaid by the recipients in volunteer time (One hour for every $10 received) to local organizations that help animals.
Thank you kindly for using our services. We love the animals, and have enjoyed treating them from all over the United States and Canada. Please help us continue to help you and your pets by telling all your family and friends about Helping Hands. Together, we will see that no animal goes without care due to prohibitive high costs.
Dog has osteosarcoma needs leg amputated ASAP. Vet recommendations? We've already been to VOSM but their price is triple our reg vets and we simply cannot afford it. Our reg vet is charging 1,000 but cannot fit us in until feb 8 and I worry thats too long to wait. It hasn't spread to the lungs and we don't want to give it a chance to.
So any recs for a vet who can do this type of surgery? Personal experiences? We've googled but most places only have a few reviews so were hesitant.

I know it's a hike, but helping hands in Richmond is fantastic and amazingly cheap. http://www.affordablepetsurgery.com/
