Tree trimming recommendations - Richfield/S Minneapolis/Bloomington area Looking for any recommendations for a tree trimming service and what to expect cost-wise. Have an average sized 'full grown' tree in the backyard that needs a couple main limbs cut due to power lines, plus a large one in the front that needs some general trimming.

Usually the power company will have the tree trimmed if it's near power lines - at no cost. Or at least when Xcel came out to trim my trees they didn't charge me - or any of my neighbors. But if you still are looking for a recommendation: http://www.mattstreeservice.us/ did great work on three of my trees. I can't remember the total $, but I'll look it up tonight and edit this post. edit: $800
Does anyone have info on tree services? One of our trees hangs over our neighbor's house and we want it gone! Does the city do any tree trimming? Or how much should this cost?

We just had ours done - several trees in the front yard taken down. We used Matt's Tree Service. We have an oak that hangs completely over the street to the other side and they told us to wait until winter to have that pruned. http://www.mattstreeservice.us/
Can anybody recommend a twin cities tree service that might make an emergency visit today to prevent a giant broken branch from careening to earth and killing me?
