The NE Humane Society spay/neuter clinic is comparable in price if u schedule under a rescue-PM me if u need to do that They are quicker to schedule b/c they are open M-Th vs only Wed 1 (402) 905-3490 And, YES, neutering will help w/humping, marking & "the attitude" If u live in Cass, they have a voucher program, as does Lancaster Otoe, of course, has nothing HUA # to check waiting list 1 (402) 274-3679
It's been a long time since I've had a puppy, I am curious does anyone know of a cheap yet good vet to take them to to be neutered and what's the age for them?
Sue B. replied:
Amy Schworm be sure and neuter your dog at about 6 mths old. I do not recommend waiting until they are 1 or 2. If you do it at about 6 mths it will prevent them from starting behaviors that are not good. I don't agree with neutering too early but at 6 mths that is a perfect age and won't affect their growth pattern. Call (402) 905-3490 for low cost spay/neuter at the SOS clinic at the Nebraska Humane Society.
