  1 mil rupiah is 100 dollars. There is a forum called the bali travel forum http://www.balitravelforum.com/ Can find all sorts of helpful info on there especially for first timers people put some good reccomend toons on there too

  Make sure you get travel insurance, keep your mouth shut in the shower and brush your teeth with bottled water and all will be great. Safari Park is fantastic. Perhaps take a trip to Ubud as well to see the rice terraces and the monkey forest. So many amazing places to eat and drink. I've never had a bad meal in Bali. Look up balitravelforum.com for some great advice and I also recommend buying the Little Miss Bali App for your phone. She has some great recommendations. Make sure you spend some time in Seminyak. So many amazing shops and places to eat.

  You will find info about pricing on balitravelforum.com. Know your prices and be prepared to walk away if you don't get what you want - but at the same time realise that this is how they feed their families so it's not worth haggling over another dollar. There are some fantastic fixed price stalls. They are a good place to go when you first start as they will give you an idea of what to pay. Go to Garlic Lane, off Jl Melasti. Not far in, on the right, you can head down the back to Ketuts. Don't be fooled by the signs on the left also claiming to be Ketuts. They are NOT. On the left though is Miss Debbie and they will take you out the back to their compound. Heaps of fixed price shopping there too. There is also a good fixed price stall at Tanah Lot Temple if you go out there. It is the first stall on the right as you enter the market place from the carpark. Great 20,000 sunglasses here (that's less than $2)
