My house has a 5 foot tall Michigan basement and was built in 1940, every time it rains or when the snow melts I get patches of water down there. Help can I put a space heater under house in crawl space out side??? Does anyone know a good cheap plummer? I don't want pipe to burst!!!!! Or does anyone know other ideas to self fix this??

  If it needs to be replaced just make sure you get a quality pump that will be reliable and do the job. A sump pump is not a place to cut corners. Check out Foundation Systems of Michigan at www.DryMichigan.com for their options. They only sell cast iron Zoeller pumps, which are very high-quality pumps. You may also want to consider a backup pump, which is always a good idea for complete peace of mind.
