  So I need some recommendations. I have been looking at travel and vacation sites for the past 3 hours and my mind is overwhelmed by all the options. 1st - what is the best travel web page for vacation packages? 2nd - We want to do something fun and not in the city, but nothing is catching our eye. What vacation activities and destination would you recommend? This is a no child vacation so we can be adventurous. 3rd - Price is unfortunately limiting us, but we do have a decent budget. Should we go for a larger room or more amenities like breakfast or theme park tickets? We don't travel too much so all the options are overwhelming for me and I need someone's experience.

  I concur about Acadia Nat'l Park! I can also highly recommend the High Seas motel outside of town. http://www.highseasmotel.com/ Or, if you are into camping, the Bar Harbor Campground is right next door. http://www.thebarharborcampground.com/ There is a Pirates Cove mini golf "mega course" across the road from both the campground and motel. In town you can rent bicycles for the park's miles of carriage roads (pedestrian/bicycle/horse only roads). A free bus service (from June 23 to Columbus Day) stops at the campground. http://www.exploreacadia.com/ And for more info http://www.acadianationalpark.com/ My parents (who I vacationed with here for 19+ years, and they are still going every year) are fans of vacations from mid-June to just before July 4 th to avoid the crowds. Whatever you decide, making your own arrangements is probably cheapest. Have fun!
