  A well designed online diary takes into account the fact that pupils have access and set about managing it. Things like travel time and which post codes you work in are taken into account. It can all be driven from a simple post code search box pasted into you're website. A really clever trick is to display a price list. The pupil chooses their lesson then the diary works out when to offer lessons based on travel time, availability and a number of other factors the diary owner decides upon. Ease of use and going straight to a nice familiar diary screen makes it easier for pupils to book. Registration as a user on the system is best done at the time of booking and payment. Avoid diaries that require pre registration from a long form then a wait for an email to log in before booking, this causes pupils to lose interest and move on. http://diary8.co.uk/ is our latest offering which does the price list thing.   If you use Pages and Numbers you can create, read and edit Office documents and you can use the online versions on your windows computer at iCloud.com. Have a look at iCloud.com on your computer anyway there's a lot in there. You can synchronise the iPad diary with both Android and Outlook. For a diary to give you online booking and payment which you can view in almost any diary see diary8.co.uk
