In Oregon, for example, if I buy residential property (I was looking at remote properties) I have to have a min. 600 sq ft home. If I camp on it, I am only allowed to stay 2 weeks and need a permit! I was told the police would haul me off my own property if I stayed any longer! You aren't allowed to live on recreational property either. So far Montana and Alaska are the only states I've found that doesn't care if you live in a Tiny House or something. Does anybody know of any off grid tiny house friendly areas that aren't seriously humid?

  Nona, I would google tiny house builders for whatever states interest you the most and contact them. They would be able to tell you exactly what you need to know. For instance in Texas, you could contact Brad the owner of tinytexashouses.com
