I used to get contacts from Specsavers, but you have to order a minimum of 8 pairs a month and I just don't get through that many, so I cancelled my order. Does anyone know of an optician (or reliable website) that will do daily disposable lenses in really small numbers, like maybe 4 pairs a month? I have a pretty strong prescription so I need to get it right. Monthly disposables are not worth the price for how often I wear them. Thanks for any suggestions.

  My wife uses and likes VisionDirect. The use by date on contact lenses is fairly long, so you don't need to use them on the day they arrive.

I bought some for my last cosplay, and i followed all the instructions, soaked them before hand in soloution, slowly tried them on longer each day, but they just hurt :( I got through half of the con but had to take them out. Spoke to a friend since then and she had no issues at all with different lenses, so im assuming its the make. Can anyone advise truthfully which make they use??   It's possible you may not have the right shaped eyes (as in eye balls) for contacts. Go for a contact lenses consultation at boots or something (usually free) to find out, otherwise you'll be doing damage to your eyes that you won't be able to reverse.

  I had a contact lens test at Specsavers, really good. They check your eyes as some people can't wear them, then they teach you out to put them in and take them out. I actually order mine online at www.contactlenses.co.uk who are super cheap. You should go for regular check ups though which are separate to a normal eye test. Hope that helps!

  My eye condition requires me to wear contact lenses in order to be able to, y'know, see. I was so uncomfortable with it when starting out, on a couple of occasions it took me as long as 25-30 mins to put them in the mornings. They're second nature to me now though. You might take a couple of attempts to find the right solution for them by the way, there's only one brand I've tried that doesn't cause discomfort after 8 ish hours. Oh, can't help with the retailers question though as mine are prescription. Plus side of this though is that I've only had to change them twice in 6 years.
