  Anne, we replaced our "wrought iron" with a powder coated aluminum one and LOVE it. It is zero maintenance and less expensive. And it looks just like wrought iron. I have sent several people to "The Fence Repair Company" 913-432-1145, they always had the best price and were very happy with the service.
