  Cottage rentals? Can anyone out there recommend somewhere in NS to rent a cottage for a night or two? Not necessarily looking for 5-star amenities. Not really looking for a resort setting either (a la White Point). Just looking for something nice, with or without kitchen facilities, fire place would be nice, on a lake or by the ocean. Possibly kid friendly (not sure if we'll take the kids or not). Suggestions?

Beautiful, well-kept cabins with full kitchens and BBQs on the deck. Two have hot tubs on the deck! There are walking trails and the lake is gorgeous and there are boats and such you can use. My favs on CB: [The Markland Coastal Beach Cottages](http://www.themarkland.com/) near Dingwall and [River Trail Cottages](http://www.rivertrailcottages.com/) in Margaree Centre.

  Hi Shawn, I'm a friend of Melissa Inge. Here are a few suggestions... my parents live in the Truro area and I live just outside Halifax so we know the area pretty well. First, in Maitland, NS (Google says its 35 minutes to Truro - usually the trip is faster than google says). Rafter's Ridge Cottages (4 Star) www.raftingcanada.ca/cottages.php 1-800-565-7238 Tidal Bore View here Second, there's a place about 15 minutes from downtown Truro. Irwin Lake Chalets. There's no star rating and we haven't been to these cottage but have heard they're nice. irwinlakechalets.com 1-866-554-7946 No Tidal Bore view - on a fishing lake - but only 5 minutes from tidal bore view Last, There's cottages in Upper Economy. This would also be about a 40-50 minute drive. I will say it is definitely out there... there isn't a great grocery store really close by. I have stayed here and it's beautiful... amazing view of the Bay of Fundy and you can walk on the ocean floor when the tides are out just down over the bank from your cottage.   also a place at Malagash called Cambra Sands probably about 45 min. from truro Ruth and the family rented a couple of cottages there another place is Irwin Lake Chalets its closer to Truro
