  Y ou can purchase Mex ican Auto insurance online. Similar to how Esurance is done. You can then print the form after paying by credit card. www.mexinsurance.com

  Hertz, at the San Diego airport, charged me $38 per day (!) and insisted I could only use their insurance. Mexinsurance.com charges $10 at the most but Hertz, and all the other airport agencies, wouldn't allow it.

  Headed to San Felipe thru Mexicali in a week or so. Do you recommend Mexican insurence. We'll be driving in and staying parked at a private campsite where people also live. Will be crossing about 7am and returning mid day on the day of departure. Who do you reccomend? I've never gotten insurence before unless I cross thru TJ. What say you? Thanks!
