Debby’s help was fabulous! I met with her remotely, and she gave me with so much useful information before, during, and after our session. I was impressed by her knowledge about behavior (and I have a master’s degree in behavioral health) and by her ability to quickly assess what my dog was expressing through her behaviors. We met by Zoom, and I got so much out of our time! Afterwards, she sent me additional resources I hadn’t even expected. Best of all, she sent me a detailed summary of our Zoom call and her recommendations so I can refer back to it any time. Debby delivered beyond my expectations, and I feel like she gave me the tools I need to make my dog’s life better! She’s intelligent, educated, experienced, and absolutely on-target! I will definitely recommend her to my dog boarding clients and to anyone else who will listen!
One of our local followers recently adopted a two year old pit bull.
Does anyone have suggestions for obedience classes in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA?

There are a lot of trainers that will come to your house--i do not suggest sitmeanssit. I travel out that way with my training business, Success Just Clicks Dog Training . Akin Family Dog Training or Pawsitive Reactions: Positive Dog Training and More all do in-home training and can come to you. I also suggest western pa humane society's bully breed ambassador class with Nicole Garritano Meloy. I believe she may be offering it out in Irwin if that is any closer to you depending on where in the south hills you live.

I used a dog trainer that came to my home, www.pawsitivereactions.com she did such an amazing job when we adopted a 2 year old to be a companion for our 6 month old.

Sit means sit uses shock collars. That's not training, that is abuse. Keystone lost all their qualified trainers recently. Animal friends has classes taught by me. I also do in homes all over Pittsburgh and don't need to use shock collars. I would also recommend some trainers at western pa humane society. My website is www.pawsitivereactions.com
Hello all. Thank u for the support this last week. Today I need a bit of help with my lab. He was the beta dog and will not go into the yard without one of us taking him. How do we train him or does anybody know of a credible dog therapist or trainer. Thanks

You could always foster a dog through Furkid to help take his mind off of losing Jesse! We use Pawsitive Reactions- behaviorist Debby McMullen, she really has made a difference in several of our dogs. http://www.pawsitivereactions.com
Would like to know if anyone knows of a really good dog trainer in Pittsburgh, PA area. Would be nice to hear from someone who has had success with a particular trainer. Thanks in advance.

Debby McMullen, http://www.pawsitivereactions.com/. I have not used her to train a dog but I know of her skills as a behaviorist from a case I did in Pittsburgh, and I think if you're a good behaviorist you're bound to be a good trainer! But maybe ask her for references if you need a real first-hand recommendation.
