  Advice on insurance needed: I'm looking to possibly move some of my classes away from the current studio I'm teaching at (low hourly pay even though I bring in quite a bit of money for them). I have an opportunity to rent a floor at the local arts house which is a great space and a very reasonable rate. However, I'm not sure if I would just need personal instructor insurance, or if dance studio insurance would be more appropriate. Any input from the virtual community here? At the bottom of the article is a link to a subsequent review of the American Massage Council (AMC), another insurer. http://www.massagetoday.com/mpacms/mt/article.php?id=14213 There's also the Hands On Trade Association. http://www.handsontrade.com/ Be aware that there are two types of insurance out there. Occurrence and Claims-Made. If you discontinue a Claims-Made policy you need to buy a tail policy to cover you for delayed claims. http://www.scjua.com/coverage-we-provide/occurrence-policy/ I believe that both ABMP and AMTA are occurrence policies.
