Parents--What are your experiences with summer camps or other organizations for kiddos with special needs? What would you recommend for other parents/families?

Last year I took Espen to nature camp at Fontenelle Forest (http://www.fontenelleforest.org/programs-a-education/day-camps). We had a great time! It was equal part inside & outside, sitting & active!! He had tons of fun at swim lessons at Swimtastic (http://www.swimtastic.com/locations/index.asp?l_id=5). We have tried Metro Omaha Stars Gymnastics (http://www.metrostarsgym.com/) and he had a great time but was much bigger then the other little ones so I will wait until he turns 4 and put him with the bigger kids! He had a blast learning to ice skate with Blade & Edge Skating but the hour long lesson was about 30 minutes to long! We will never do a zoo camp again. It was NOT a good experience for him or me! This year I think we might try Gifford Farm. --- It will be the first year he is 'on his own' and I am very leery about dropping him off if I have not seen how they work! I have researched and tried lots of programs with him!
