  You should have Carbonite backup. Go to Kim Komando.com and check it out. Won't help you this time, but in the future, everything is backed up. Don't turn the computer off. Take it to a computer shop and they can get the data off.

  I have had this problem many times from computers hooked up to the internet. Every site you go to tries to put some form of tracking device on your system. Eventually it takes so much memory everything locks up. America's Digital Goddess Kim Kamando recommended I run Ad-Aware form Lavasoft (Free Program) I've found it cleans up every computer I try it on. It's a big file to download so you need a fast connection to do it: http://www.komando.com/ Type Ad Aware in the search box. Rocky
