Let's discuss wills. This is something I have put off doing for way too long besides having hand-written instructions in my emergency binder. Did you do yours through a lawyer? Did you use a website for legal services? What do you recommend? Any experts out there?

We used the Suze Orman kit! It is AWESOME! For 70.00 you get all the paperwork and you can share the CD's with friends and family without it limiting you to how many computers you can put it on. It came with four CD's that included Power of Attorneys, Wills, an Insurance Evaluator, Home Inventory software, ID software in case someone is lost..etc. http://www.suzeorman.com/.../collec.../protection-portfolio/
Any suggestions on a cheap financial advisor in coppell?
David O. replied:
So are you willing to handover your hard earned money to a stranger? Take the time to learn yourself about what is available is best. Most retail advisors are just sales people making a commission, and they might not be in your best interest. Read up on some of the advisors on TV: I personally do it myself, but it does take some learning before you step in the water. You also need some time to do this as well. The Coppell library has a number of books on the subject. I personally trade some stock (mostly energy, material, some industrial), and stock options (mostly Put spreads, and covered Calls). http://www.clarkhoward.com/ http://www.suzeorman.com/

I just did our living trust, myself. Suzeorman.com has a great template, but it did take me several hours to prepare it, sign, witness, Notarize and record it. Well worth my time! :-)
