We are struggling to find somewhere that's not hardstanding, we want to put jormax up and we've really struggled in the past to get it in hardstanding. We have four dogs. Ideally we need somewhere which also has accommodation you can rent for mum and dad too!

  Definitely Park Foot in the lakes. Pooley Bridge is a short walk from the site. Lovely walks round the lake or get the boat across the lake. The site has a club house, shop and play park for under 8 yr olds. The shower and toilet blocks are clean and well kept. We went last year and have just come back from a weekend there and will be going back again. http://www.parkfootullswater.co.uk

  Hi guys, thanks for the add. I'm looking to bring my family (2 adults, a 6byear old and a 18 month old) to lakes for a few days, I'd like a lodge or cabin of poss close to a nice swimming spot with some flat ground to picnic on and generally just have a nice day. Ideally not somewhere full of people. I've been looking at spending one of the days at buckstones Jum. Question is, is there any lodges or cabins fairly local to this spot? Or can anyone advise or reccomend somewhere else (bearing in mind I have an 18 month old) he does walk but he wont be climbing mountains haha I just want a nice relaxing spot with the kids that doesn't take ray mears skills to get to.   www.parkfootullswater.co.uk central to whole of Lake District, busy campsite but lodges are set up above the camping area and it has great facilities, you can walk around ullswater and catch steamer back, it has lake access and not too far away is Askham swimming pool (outdoor) 😊

  Www.parkfootullswater.co.uk they have 4 parks to choose from family run, they just won holiday park of the year, lovely places and people, worked for them for many years and my hubby still does 😊
