  Need Surgical Vet Recommendations I have a neighborhood cat that broke her right rear femur. Emergency vet said their services to fix/amputate would be higher than other vets in the area. Do any of you have experience with, or can make a recommendation on good and reasonable vet I should contact. Thanks in advance! Update: Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I ended up taking her to Animal Medical and had the leg amputated this afternoon. Not fun, but it may well have saved her a lifetime of pain.

  I take my dogs to Animal Medical Center on Hillsdale Ave. The staff there has always been awesome to me and my dogs. I have had several emergency trips and the vet commented that in a couple cases it wasn't as time critical as I thought and that if I had waited it and brought them in the next day it would have been much cheaper (Of course emergency expenses are waaaay higher).   Town Cats also uses Animal Medical Center on Hillsdale Ave. Rosi sent me there to treat 4 kittens I'm fostering. I was just there yesterday. They took good care of our little ones! Here's there info: 1820 Hillsdale Ave # 20, San Jose, CA 95124-3026 (408) 267-7387 There's also VCA Crocker Animal hospital which mat be closer to you: 475 North Jackson Avenue, San Jose, CA 95133 (408) 272-1330 This is not a Town Cats vet but my family has been going there for years! They gave great feline vets! They're right next to Independence High School. Lots of Luck!

  Yes- That's the one I went to- Animal Medical Center with my foster cats throught Town Cats. Not Central- scratch that. Central is my old vet.
