I had Geico and thought I was getting a good deal but then realized I was overpaying by 1000's. Liberty mutual and Amica are good with decent rates.
Seeking quotes for auto and home insurance...recommendations? Not State Farm as they are requesting to raise our rates to "15% more than the state average" just because they can. We've NEVER in 15 years filed a claim.

Collette McCluggage Meador- check out Amica. We used to have Liberty Mutual through the work discount but their automatic rate increase with no claims policy each uear finally sent us packing. we have been with Amica for 5 yrs now, have saved money and been VERY happy with their customer service. we have the cars, home and boat insured with them.
I am looking for information about car insurance. We have had the same insurance with a local company for quite a few years and have been happy. We carried an adult child on our policy who does not live at home as we were getting a good rate. She had two accidents in the past year which were her fault but she did not get a ticket.Claims were filed. We expected the insurance to go up but were surprised to receive a letter saying that comprehension and collision were being canceled on all our vehicles and we would be turned over to the NC Reinsurance Facility for those coverages. (They would keep liability.) When we talked to our agent about taking her off our policy and having her find her own insurance he said it would not matter, it would still be expensive for us on the chance she might drive our cars at some point. He did not give us numbers and seemed to feel we could discuss it later since the change doesn't take effect for 90 days. Has anyone had a similar experience? Does anyone have experience with the NC Reinsurance Facility? Can anyone recommend a company/agent who would be willing to work with us?

Hi Susan, I am a local agent here in Raleigh and I would be happy to talk to you about your situation and see if I can help. Feel free to give me a call at 919-872-4700 ext 57132 or send me a message. If you remove your daughter then her accidents should not affect you, especially if she does not live in the home and has her own vehicle
