  I had a hard drive that could not be rescued about three years ago. I used a company in Madison, WI called Gillware. I cost me about $400 plus I sent them a new hard drive to load with the old info, but they recovered absolutely everything when recovery software packages couldn't recover anything. www.gillware.com

  Recommendation for data recovery service? Boss had critical data on usb drive not backed-up. Long story short: the drive was knocked to the ground and no longer spins up (I think the spindle got broken). A lot of data recovery places seem more than a bit shady, and so I would rather go with word-of-mouth. Do any of you have a recommendation for a place to get the data from the hard drive?
