  I need your help. My QH JT gets really stallion like in the spring and this year with the horses being so cooped up is especially bad. He is biting, chasing and rearing with the other horses in his pasture and across the fence. Just today he broke two boards on the fence playing stallion over the fence line and then bit another horse in the neck going all the way down to the muscle. He was ridden Sunday and yesterday and both were good workouts, one in the deep snow and the other a lesson with lots of cantering. Any ideas for how to curb his bad behavior?

  Hello all! I need some opinions-- I have a mare unlike any before...LOL she has been a broodmare for past 5 years, and this has been her first season without foal or being preggos. Talk about a little hoochie! She cycles constantly and it takes a toll on her body every time. Her attitude is perfect, but she rubs on everything, bangs her side on the wall, constantly "winking", etc etc etc. Anyone dealt with one this severe?? Will she get better the longer she is not bred? I know about Regu-mate, but I want that to be a last resort. Anyone have any luck with the herbal supplements??? Anyone have a nice 16+ hand TB or WB "husband" for her?? Going into winter I hope helps, but I am thinking ahead to next spring! Any opinions appreciated!!

  Herbalcom.com has Chaste Tree Berries for $5.20 a pound. You have to grind them up like flax seed. I mix it with some stevia and my mare has no problem eating it mixed in with her beet pulp. Helps shed out a coat in two to three weeks if your equine has metabolic issues too. Mountain Rose Herbs carries it too.
