  Also, doing it for free would make your web address your address.wix.com or your address.WordPress.com, etc. Rather than just your address.com.

  The domain is just a host for your web address. The actual site is created and managed elsewhere, like wordpress, and maybe a wix. I'm not as familiar with that so not sure.
