  Ok, I'm leaving up my other post for a bit because some were following it, but we settled a little more on where we would like to go. We are looking at going on our honeymoon to Oahu for 10-14 days in early september (Probably Sept 2-16)...we know it's touristy, but there's a few things there we'd really like to do. We are set for our flights, but would love some economical recommendations for where to stay. Any hidden gems? VRBO? Hotels? Hopefully that won't cost us an arm and a leg....we know it can be pretty expensive, but any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

  We stayed here... http://www.waikikibeachrentals.com/ It's the Ilikai where they shoot the opening scene for Hawaii 5-0. Pretty much right on the beach beside the Hilton Lagoon. Sweet spot. Fully equipped modern condo.
