OK guys...I've been off here for pretty much an entire week (partly to prove to my son that I could) but I must return now due to circumstances. Some of you may have been following my travails regarding my destroyed hardwood floor. We are now going to have to replace the entire thing and be out for about two months and staying in temporary housing. But the condo building insurer is still being cheap and horrible and we're getting royally screwed. Does anyone know of a good insurance lawyer that deals with condo issues in L.A.? The insurance from the building refuses to pay to replace our floor and other structural damage. Not huge for a lawyer, maybe $12,000-$15,000 that we're looking at out of pocket. More than small claims, but not nearly big enough for a major firm. However, still feel like I need to be protected, even if it's ultimately only worth maybe $5,000 or so to an attorney. Anyone? Thanks for any suggestions.
