  I'm a huge fan of personal recommendations. I'm a member of My Autism Team (even though I'm not there much -I keep getting reminded via email of comments I have to answer!!) http://www.myautismteam.com/ but it's pretty cool in that you can meet other families that live near you. Maybe you can find a suggestion there as well?

  You're here all ready, Julia There's also myautismteam.com, It's similar to this page in that you can ask questions and get answers, commiserate, encourage others, get encouragement, etc. But you have to log into their social network; which is specifically for families/caregivers of people on the spectrum. My son didn't start ABA until he was 6 years old; it was a godsend for us! He's 12 now and we no longer use the ABA method exclusively. We do have goals and incorporate a lot of different strategies depending on the goal and motivation.

  Thanks Kathryn! I do not know the details , but it is a woman who recently got the diagnosis and is unsure of what to do next. She is on a website called MyAutismTeam.com and reached out to the MAT community for help.If anyone in San Jose is a member that would be easier to get those questions answered. I will pass on the info, Janine Buellesbach and everyone. Pasitos sounds great. I will let her know. :)

  Luciano! Thaaaank you ! I will pass it on to her- Her name on myautismteam is PamIam- I will forward your info to her and see what the deal is- She sounds pretty frustrated and frazzled by everything. ( which is understandable)
