A non-scammer moving company? ALT to SF I'm starting a job in San Francisco in February, and I'm trying to find an end to end moving company that's hopefully not a scam. I'm single and moving by myself, and driving a van/truck cross country is not an option. My stuff is currently in a storage unit in Atlanta, so I don't think a upack or other shipping cubes are really an option. Can anyone recommend some cross country movers that people have worked with in the past with minimal issues? My new job is compensating 75% of moving costs, so it financially makes more sense to move than to get rid of my things and re-buy the same stuff in SF. Thank you!
Looking for recommendations on long distance moving. We are looking to move cross country and trying to figure which movers even do this kind of move and any general recommendations to avoid ridiculous costs. Thanks

Check movingscam.com for recommendations on movers. Personally I'd recommend renting a uhaul and towing or shipping your car. If it's a big move, ABF upack and drive your car.
I have a client who is moving to the UK, Anyone have recommendations for overseas moving companies?

I used Suddath International and they were very good. It can be quite difficult to get moving companies to respond, let alone come out to give a quote. Suddath were good in all areas. movingscam.com has a lot if useful information.

We used Moovers Inc from CT to CA and had a great experience. Everything made it...on time, no damage and kept us updated frequently. They are California based and we found them through searching movingscam.com which is a great resource.

Movers in NJ - Looking for great movers at a a fair price Hey NJ'ers. My wife and I are moving in 3 weeks. We're moving from Montgomery to Hopewell - about 6 miles from one house to the other.
We currently have a 2 BR Townhouse and a bit of stuff. We'll have it all packed / boxed when the movers arrive.
We need movers who probably charge by the hour and will bring 3 guys and a truck.
Do you have recommendations on movers (good or bad). Please let me know. Thanks.

I moved last year and I used a forum called www.movingscam.com which reviews all the moving companies out there. Definitely worth my while since I had picked out a company and it turns out it had very poor reviews so I dodged a bullet with that one.

Hi Mark, There is a wealth of information about moving companies on http://www.movingscam.com/ including international movers. The message board/forum there has lots of good advice, and many people I know have been very happy with the information on the site, and have had all their questions answered. Good luck with your move

across the Atlantic: I would recommend educating yourself to the status of any company you consider using on the website www.movingscam.com first. Check out the message board and use the company name as search term. You can read my own story at http://www.movingscam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4441&highlight=internic Basically, the companies that are easiest to find on the net are not necessarily the best or most reputable. Is anybody planning to move their stuff using professional movers. Any recommendations on moving companies? ~Sunder
I am using North American Van Lines. I got quotes from Allied, United, and North American. All were got, but NAVL was the cheapest. As a piece of advice check out movingscam.com. It is a good website that will give you some info on what to beware of. There are a lot of scammers out there. Beware of anything on the internet and insist on an inhome estimate for starters. Also, if you check out real simples magazine's website, they have some good moving tips. Best of luck.
