About us
Green Paws Chicago LLC is licensed, bonded and insured; we've been active in the Chicago pet services market since 2007.
Our primary focus is on the care of your canine and feline companions, though we’re happy to feed your finned and feathered friends too. We share your belief that our pets are our “fur children” and, as such, give your cat or dog the same love and attention one would give any child.
Our dog-focused services include walking, sitting (in your home), boarding (in our home), feeding, medication administration and grooming, including regularly scheduled FURmination to maximize your dog’s comfort and minimize shedding in your home. For our cat clients, we offer companionship visits, litter service, feedings, medication administration and maintenance grooming, including regularly scheduled FURmination to maximize your cat’s comfort and minimize shedding in your home.
As indicated by our name, Green Paws Chicago has been a socially conscious, green business since its inception in 2007. We are a 100% paperless business We bike to reach more than 90% of our client’s homes. Our walkers use WrapItUp® biodegradable and compostable doggie waste bags. We bring our clients’ plastic bags to the grocery store to be recycled. All light bulbs in our office are energy efficient, compact florescent bulbs. We offset our carbon footprint by planting trees. We educate our clients about green pet ownership principles, including best practices for food, grooming, litter/pet waste and other topics, and our founder, John Wray, regularly speaks on behalf of green pet ownership.

Most of the dog walking services I've looked into require a minimum # of walks per week to be a customer. We're only looking for 1 walk every few months. I've thought about using Rover or Wag, but letting strangers into our home just feels weird. So I'm hoping to find someone nearby who comes recommended that can be our person.
