Quick couple of questions.... anyone ever seen a chiropractor for tmj/jaws popping? And if you have, any in the area (not necessarily just Wake Forest), that does this particular kind of adjustment? There are so many chiropractors in the area....
David O. replied:
If you have TMJ you will need a nuro dentist to take a look and he/she will work hand in hand with a good chiropractor. I used Dr Suh and Osborne Chiropractic together. They have a history of working together and Dr. Suh is known globally for his work fixing jaws without the need to break them like most do.. http://www.supremiadentistry.com/
Ok, me and the fam is looking for a new dentist and was hoping enough people here would recommend someone that can handle children as well.

I've had it sorta on and off throughout my life but it just took a turn for the worse. Wondering if anyone on this page has ever experienced this as well ask if anyone can recommend a docter. Please and thank you!

Recommendations for a reputable and reasonable dentist for an implant? My dentist is amazing but I'm starting to wonder if it's best to "shop around" before I commit. It's fine if it is in Wake Forest but closer to Raleigh.

I thought I loved my dentist, but the head dentist has since moved. There is a new one and the staff turnover seems a little ridiculous. The hygienists don't seem to have much experience. Some days I go and they have "fill ins" who travel to wherever needed and my cleanings have been very minimal. Things have changed. :( I need recommendations for a FABULOUS dentist. I have had a hard time finding one. One that does sedation or partial would be great as I have pretty bad anxiety when it's comes to dental work... So I need an office that can make you feel comfortable. Bonus points if they often have last minute appointments because I'm hoping to get some things done before the new year of insurance. Thank you for sharing your suggestions with me!

Can anyone recommend a great dentist in the area for adults? I hate going to the dentist. I finally found one that I loved, but he moved to Cary. Evening or weekend hours would be a huge plus, but not a requirement. Thanks!

Hi! Would love some recommendations of dentists in the area that also have/do Invisalign in the same office. I currently have dental insurance.
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know of a good holistic dentist that will see children in the area? The main thing I'm looking for is someone who will understand and respect my aversion to fluoride in my kids' bodies, who doesn't use mercury for fillings and who won't push root canals in my children's mouths. TIA!
Shannon C. replied:
Come see us at Supremia Dentistry! We would love to have your family become part of ours. I'm a hygienist there and share many of your same beliefs. I also love incorporating essential oils to home care regimens if a patient desires to try something natural as well as calm their fears while in my chair. Www.supremiadentistry.com
Looking for recommendations for a Sleep Disorder Center in Wake Forest or Raleigh area. Thanks!
Shannon C. replied:
Www.supremiadentistry.com would love to have you come in for a complimentary consult. We work alongside of Sleep Works and treat sleep apnea with an oral appliance.
Does anyone use a custom made (by a dentist) night guard for bruxism (teeth clenching and grinding) and have anything positive or negative to share? I've used OTC night guards that you mold with hot water but seem to get no relief from using them. I don't have dental insurance so getting the one my dentist is recommending won't be cheap. Thanks for any advice!
Shannon C. replied:
Most insurances won't cover them. Store bought guards make clenching worse because your muscles tighten and suck into the guard. There is a reason for grinding for example... Sleep apneics do it to try and get their airway open, people who suffers from TMD, etc... A hard splint is just a band aid of sorts. It is used to save you money from cracking teeth which is a lot more costly. Seek a dentist who can actually address why your are clenching/grinding. If that's something you are interested in we would love to have you at Supremia Dentistry. Dr Suh specializes in neuromuscular dentistry and is very respected in the field. We work with chiropractors, massage therapists, and physical therapists in the area for a comprehensive approach. Www.supremiadentistry.com
