Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
Brett Gilmour, is a Calgary branding photographer. His ability to listen to clients and make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, and deep technical knowledge of commercial photography make him a valuable part of any creative team.
Brett served on the CAPIC Prairie Board of Directors for 10 years and was a Board Member of the Graphic Designers of Canada, Alberta South branch. He judged the Banff Mountain Film Festival for 5 years.
Brett is available for media inquiries, public speaking, and workshops about corporate, architectural and commercial photography.
Describe a typical work day for you?
From initial conversations we turn ideas into compelling commercial photography that resonates with your audience. We work with businesses, marketing departments and advertising agencies to develop a visual language that supports your brand.
Our team of producers, stylists, art directors and editors will guide you from initial concept to post-production. We can handle scouting, permits, props, wardrobe, hair, makeup, photography, Photoshop, compositing, colour grading, output and distribution. Our level of support is matched to the size and budget of your photography project. The result is memorable photography that elevates your brand.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
Brett divides his time between a studio in Oviedo, Spain and a studio in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His curiosity about how people interact with their work and natural environment informs his industrial, architectural, product and portrait photography.
What has been your most memorable experience on the job?
Every photo shoot is an opportunity to meet interesting people and learn how they contribute to this strange world.
