So I want to visit a dentist for a cleaning but I have a heart valve defect that requires me to be pre-medicated beforehand. It's just antibiotics but I don't know how to go about getting this medicine. I have a paper from my cardiologist back home describing what I have but it's in English with medical terms. Anyone have any suggestions or know of any doctors here with really good English skills?

Does anyone have the contact details for the doctor near Chonnam University? He gave me his email but during my move I misplaced it. Thanks!

Geo-Med (Body and Soul) clinic does vaccinations. I don't know if they are cheaper or more expensive than the hospital or anything but the doctor speaks perfect English and is great. It's across from the Bukgu district office. http://www.geomedclinic.com/

Dr Kang at the Back Gate (www.geomedclinic.com) is also clued up & does vaccines on site. His English is near perfect and his receptionist speaks some English too (enough to make and change appointments).
Dumb question coming up!....I need to see a doctor, I've not been to one in Korea. Do you just wander into any hospital, or are there actual Doctors surgeries to go to?

I've got a bulging disc in my spine. It's killing me. I've already been to a chiropractor, and been treated. But right now what I need is some pain management.
Anyone have any tips of what to ask for at a pharmacy? I really need an anti-inflammatory pill. Any tips? Thanks!
Jd G. replied:
JJ. I know EXACTLY your pain... I've had the same problem since before xmas. Dr. Kang over at Geo-med is who I go to for pain management and takes walk-ins. If you have your xrays, bring them along, else he will just send you one floor down for new ones. Speaks good English. http://www.geomedclinic.com/
My knee has never been the same after a bike trip to Gwangju more than half a year ago. I think it's time I actually get someone to take a look at it. Anyone know where I can find a semi-fluent english-speaking doctor that might be able to tell me what's wrong with my knee?

Hello all, does anyone know a good hospital/clinic to get immunisations?
Anyone have experience getting them done in Gwangju?
Or can I just pop into any random hospital in the city?
Thanks.
Please, if you have a doctor that you would like to recommend, please post their name, area of medicine and level of English here for other people to see. Ten different posts per week about needing a specialist that speaks English is too much.

Hello everyone! I am looking for a doctor that speaks English and will be thorough. I have an issue with my foot and knee and probably will need some x-rays done. I got a number for Sumi Kim at Chosun University Hospital but no one is picking up. Does anyone know if she is still around? Or if there is another doctor that is good, maybe at another University?
