  Hi everyone! I will be starting my first job as an outpatient PT in a few weeks- I went and saw my clinic/met my co-workers this afternoon and learned that the clientele is a predominantly Spanish speaking population (I'm working for a company that just moved into the area/ opened a few weeks ago and is currently getting established with physician referrals, etc). Does anyone know of an online course, an in-person course or a software program that can help with brushing up on medical Spanish (and/or Spanish overall?). Thank you!

  I used medicalspanish.com to brush up on my spanish. But I would highy recommend learning actual conversational Spanish and Medical Spanish. Whats the point of learning key phrases when you can't understand them when they answer you or try to talk to you? I know first hand because I'm currently in Costa Rica in the clinic and I can get patients to do what I want but I get lost when they try to communicate about something.

  I believe University of Incarnate Word offers a online medical Spanish course. I was in a similar situation for my clinical and, to be honest, I just had my bilingual patients teach me words and phrases. I picked up a lot pretty quick.

  There is a website ...www.medicalspanish.com. Or just Google medical Spanish tutoring, I found a few online sites.
