  Not really local, but Fixation in Vauxhall are considered the best anywhere in the country, though not cheap. http://www.fixationuk.com/ I have also used Aperture UK near Tottenham Ct Rd. They were slower and the one time they did a lens repair for me it had to go back a couple of times for further work. Willing to suspect the lens had an underlying fault with it. http://www.apertureuk.com/ If an AF-S motor needs replacing, that's usually a write-off.

  What make of camera is it. If it were me and a Canon or Nikon I would send it to Fixation in London they have always done very good work for me http://www.fixationuk.com. Locally cannot think of anyone except Ffordes at Beauly http://www.ffordes.com/ however not sure if they do repairs.
