Memory Express has always worked well for me. I’ve used them for decades and their staff really is into computers and their parts rather than trying to sell shiny objects. [Memory Express](https://www.memoryexpress.com/) Service rates are listed in the Tech Zone section.

Memory Express (memoryexpress.com) on the south and west sides of the city is a great store for computer help. They can sell you the parts you need and help with diagnosis/installation as well. They're pretty much the go-to place for any PC enthusiast in the city. And if you just need to re-install windows, you can download it from Microsoft's website (select create installation media) and then run the tool with a USB stick of 8GB or bigger plugged in. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10

Am looking to buy my first laptop. Any recommendations?
Janet B. replied:
i buy my parts at http://www.memoryexpress.com/ . if you can find a lower price elsewhere, they'll give you the item at less than (10%?) their competitor's price. and cheap shipping, too. they've been really good to me.
If you had or are buying a new computer what would you recommend and best place to buy one...
Jason L. replied:
Um first off Apple is a PC and is great if you like paying 3 x the price. Costco is a good place as you get extra warranty and 2% off with your executive membership plus you can use you credit card and get points and cash back. I buy my PCs at memory express none in ST but memoryexpress.com online. You can always talk to family and they could pick one up in AB and save you an additional 8%
Looking for a cheap electronics store in Vancouver (downtown) I have a friend who is here from Europe and needs some electrical plug converters. I know Futureshop will have them but they usually charge a lot more than a small electronics/computer store would. I can't remember if there are any around the downtown area. I am guessing something on Granville would? Any help is appreciated.
