  Hi. I'm looking to get Coco Dna tested as we hope it will help us understand her better! She came as a whippet collie cross but we are sure there are terrier traits in there too. She has taken a particular dislike to a terrier and it has made us wonder. I've seen the Kennel Club do testing but she obv isn't a member! Does anyone know where we can get it done or if kennel club can do it without her being registered. I think it was Ruth who mentioned it to New Year's Eve when I popped down with donations.   I used `Wisdom Panel` £67 approximately, Tilly is a Dogs Trust Rescue, Results take about 3 weeks, but you can check anytime on the site how & where your test is up to, turns out she`s Akita/Boxer/GSD, Definitely would recommend them

  We used wisdom panels on our girl, she came back springer x lab x setter x pointer. You can't see all them in her though the springer and pointer is obvious but her mum is very setter like and her brother looks like a lab completely. So personally I have had no issues with them. Have added a photo so you can see

  I used wisdom panel and Boo came back all collie one side and collie x the other with 13% Welsh Springer. With his colour and temperament I couldn't argue with that. There were some other breeds listed in the cross side with very small percentages but who knows. I only did his for fun, he was sold to his original owners as a Welsh sheepdog, sounded more like puppy farm to me but we love him whatever

  I used wisdom panel insights and trust the results 100%. He came back mum springer which I know is correct as had him as a 8 week old pup. Dad collie x german shepherd. All they have is a mouth swab. Obviously collie in there and yes he does have a few brown/golden patches and GSD traits!

  Most breed DNA kits you can get in the UK go back to Wisdom Panel Insights for processing. Personally I wasn't impressed as my little 15 inch high smooth coat collie x came back as collie one side (her mum was a collie) and flat coat x toller on the other. Just not possible IMO

  The one Virginia Harry used is called DNA Worldwide which looking at the paperwork is part of Wisdom Panel. I think I used Wisdom Panel but I don't have the paperwork anymore as it went in the bin. Just my personal opinion but I don't think the results are accurate.

  I used the wisdom panel one, you get email certificates to print, I was pleased with the result on my lab x came back lab/gorden X German shepherd.
