  An injury to one of my big toenails, which was falling away from the bed of the nail 5 years ago, led to removal of the toenail. Also, Jennifer, Angela and myself have all had ingrown toenails taken care of. Both of these procedures were done in the office, so I wouldn't think you would need a surgeon. A good and honest podiatrist will send you to a orthopedic surgeon if need be. You have several recommendations from your family and friends ! Dr. Edward Stein off Jungermann Rd. is our podiatrist and of course we think he is the best! 636-928-1240...Good Luck!
