Looking for audiologist/Hearing Center recommendations I have either been losing my hearing or developing tinnitus over the past few years so I'm looking for recommendations in our area to go get evaluated. I'm more concerned with quality of the facility/doctors than the cost of the services or evaluations. If there are better facilities in Buffalo/Syracuse I would be open to that as well.

i went to Rochester Otolaryngology Group (http://www.rochester-ent.com/) for tinnitus assessment recently. i was in and out in a short period of time and i felt they did a good job explaining and helping me. the facility was clean and they limited the number of folks in the building to lower possible COVID exposure. i'd go back if i needed to. i saw dr. toph. he's efficient and short in his communications. i probably saw him for four or five minutes total during while i was there. i was comfortable with the amount of attention he gave me. the audiologist spent more time with me and i felt she was very helpful.

When I broke my skull and damaged my hearing, I ended up w/ doctor Salamone at Rochester Otolaryngology Group, PC
They are in Rochester regional health's system. I'm not sure if you can just schedule an appointment or not. For me this was a specialist I was assigned to via my primary care physician.
I was happy with them. My hearing came back. Everything seems on the up and up. Like 4 years later I damaged my hearing again doing something else dumb and the doctor remembered me and my history when I mentioned my first accident. He's like wait, once sec, walked out the room and came back with my paper chart (even though they're on electronic records). I'll admit though my original case was pretty unique, so pretty easy to remember. They probably don't get too many basal skull fractures of people that are still alive.
ENT Referral? Hello ROC crowd,
I am having some issues with (unsure which it is) TMJ and/or sinuses. My job involves talking a lot (flight instructor/teacher), and when I'm home at night, I get really back (TMI?) mucus and face swelling/soreness. I'm looking for some really savvy ENT docs in the ROC area who might specialize in these types of things. Thank you!
